EVENT PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

Dear Prospective Committee Member,

The Weaver High School Class of 1980 Event Planning Committee is seeking NEW committee members to join its event planning committee.

In order to maintain the financial stability of the class treasury, we have established a formalized membership dues process that will allow class members to not only commit their time but financially support the various expenses associated with planning fundraising activities and planning events.

If you are interested in joining the event planning committee, please read the membership information and complete the attached membership application.  Out-of-state class members are eligible and encouraged to participate.

The goal for 2013 and the years leading up to our 40th Reunion in 2020, is to rebuild the class treasury with committee dues and various fundraisers. 

The following Dues Commitment Proposal was voted and approved on December 15, 2012.

EVENT PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBER

MEMBERSHIP DUES: $200.00

Two Year Term Commitment:

January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2014

Each participating event planning committee member shall contribute $200 (non-refundable) membership dues to assist in the operation of the class treasury and event planning activities.

  • Membership entitles all participating members to attend and contribute in all planning committee meetings.
  • Membership dues have (in the past) offset the reunion costs/fees of current participating committee members.
  • Out of state participating class members shall contribute to meetings via Skpe (if available) and will receive the minutes of all planning meetings.
  • Events shall consist of class reunions, birthday celebrations, fundraising activities, etc.
  • Meetings will be scheduled in accordance to future planning events and fundraising activites.
  • In the event a current committee member decides he/she can no longer be an active participating member, during the time period dues are established, his/her membership dues will be considered a donation and will not be refunded.
  • Membership Dues will be revisited every two (2) years. 

Dues can be paid in full or on monthly basis if desired.  Dues will be required on a quarterly basis, minimum due: $25.00.
